Exyte to build Dexcom s first manufacturing facility in Asia STUTTGART, Germany and PENANG, Malaysia, April 15, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Exyte, world-renowned for the design and construction of high-tech facilities, has been awarded a fast-track project for Dexcom in Penang, Malaysia. This is the first manufacturing facility for the U.S.-based diabetes care technology provider outside the United States. Exyte is proud to support Dexcom s strategic growth plans as it expands manufacturing into Asia for the first time. Located in Batu Kawan, Penang, and with 1.8 million square feet of gross floor area, the project will house a manufacturing facility for continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems. Key parts of the facility include multi-story cleanrooms, a warehouse with dock leveller, a three-story Central Utility Building (CUB), a seven-story office building with a canteen and recreational area as well as a seven-level multi-story parking structure.

Virtual job fair draws over 5,000 participants

The two-day virtual fair was organised by The Ship Campus and Peninsula College. The Ship Campus is set to be the headquarters of Peninsula College. THE Batu Kawan Career Fair 2021, organised by The Ship Campus and Peninsula College, was a success with over 800 resumes received for about 400 job positions advertised by 19 participating companies. The inaugural virtual fair, held over two days from March 6, saw engagements from 5,000 people on the event’s Facebook page. The fair was aimed at boosting graduate employment among the major industry players at Batu Kawan and to create more visible employment opportunities for those who lost their job due to the economic impact of Covid-19.
