Vaccination centre opened at FJWU - Newspaper

RAWALPINDI: Punjab Minister for Law and Cooperatives Raja Basharat on Sunday inaugurated a corona vaccination centre at Fatima Jinnah Women’s University (FJWU), which was approved by Chief Minister Usman Bazdar on his recommendation. Addressing the ceremony, Raja Basharat said the vaccination centre was a gift from the chief minister to the people of Rawalpindi Cantonment. He said all the vaccination centres across the province had been provided with excellent facilities. Raja Basharat said people should cooperate with the government by implementing the Covid-19 safety measures as the third wave was very deadly. But with the efforts of the Punjab government and people’s cooperation, it would be overcome soon.

Law Minister Raja Basharat hoped that the spread of the virus would be curtailed with the cooperation of the masses in implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anwarul Haq gave a detailed briefing to the minister on the available facilities at the vaccination centre and measures for its storage.

This was disclosed by Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Muhammad Ali during an award distribution ceremony for international conference on applied zoology at the university here on Friday. The event was jointly organised by the QAU and Government College University, Faisalabad (GCUF) in collaboration with the Applied Zoological Society of Pakistan (AZSP) with an aim to share, exchange and discuss new perspectives about the scientific advancements in various fields of applied zoological sciences.
