The United Way of Lamar County s Kids Marathon Finale is still scheduled for today at the Trail de Paris, entrance next to Love Civic Center Pavilion. United Way staff and volunteers will be there starting at 3 p.m. for kids who want to come out early to run their final 1.2 miles. The event is scheduled from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m.
All participants who completed their marathon miles will receive their medals, t-shirts and goodie bags.

Parisâs newly built pump track is already attracting some big name competitions.
Pump Track Paris, Texas will be host to a Red Bull Pump Track World Championship qualifier on May 29, and the very next day it will be home to the USA Pump Track Championships.
The USA Pump Track Championships will be making its first stops at Velosolutions Pump Tracks in Gaston County, North Carolina, on May 16 and in Springdale, Arkansas, on May 23 before coming to Paris. All rounds will lead to the Road to Oz Trails final in Springdale at Jones Centerâs Runway Bike Park. The final date has not yet been announced.
The Paris Pump Track near the Love Civic Center and the Trail de Paris from Collegiate Drive to Loop 286 will be closed through Sunday as Paris hosts the Easton Southwest Shootout.
Hosted at the Love Civic Center, the event is now in its 14th year and is organized by the Archery Shooters Association, bringing archers from across the country and the globe to the Red River Valley for a weekend of friendly competition and practice.
âArrows will be flying, and we want everyone to be safe,â said Becky Semple, Lamar County Chamber of Commerce tourism director.
