Three Acceptance of Necessities (AoNs) for an overall cost of Rs 13,700 crore were accorded.

Paramount and Bharat Forge agreement secures Indian Army vehicle order

defenceWeb Written by Guy Martin - 781 Bharat Forge Limited, part of the Kalyani Group, which has partnered with Paramount Group to produce Mbombe 4/Kalyani M4 4×4 armoured vehicles in India, has received a contract from the Indian Ministry of Defence. In an announcement made by Bharat Forge Limited to the Indian Stock Exchange, it was revealed that it received an order worth Rs177.95 crore ($24 million) from the Indian Ministry of Defence for the supply of Kalyani M4 vehicles (based on Paramount’s Mbombe 4 vehicle). The size of the order was not disclosed. A government statement said India’s Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) on 23 February approved arms purchases worth R13 700 crore ($1.8 billion) as the government continues steps to modernize the military. This included 118 Arjun Mk 1A tanks and M4 vehicles.
