The IMD has issued a red alert in Mumbai as heavy rains lashed the city throughout Sunday. As many as 32 people lost their lives and six were injured in five separate rain-related incidents across the city. CM Uddhav Thackeray chaired a high-level meeting and asked civic officials as well as rescue agencies to be alert and rush to the spot in case any mishap is reported in the city.
