Hyderabad: It is past the middle of December, but the wintry cold continues to elude the city. Instead, city witnessed a 2º Celsius increase in the minimum temperature on Thursday, going up to 17.3ºC. The normal minimum for this time of the 15.3ºC.

Proposal to gift high-end smart phones to members put off
GHMC standing committee, during its meeting on Thursday, accorded approval for 18 developmental proposals, apart from the draft budget proposals for the financial year 2021-22 to the tune of ₹5,600 crore.
A proposal for gifting high-end smart mobile phones for the standing committee members has been postponed for time being. The Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max mobiles with 512 GB internal storage cost close to ₹1.6 lakh each, and the proposal was for a total of 17 such phones, amounting to ₹27.24 lakhs.
DCP denies allegations by Bandi

Hyderabad South Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Gajarao Bhupal has denied the allegations levelled by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Telangana State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar that the DCP aided land grabber (in Bandlaguda mandal), supported AIMIM cadre, and attacked BJP cadre.
The DCP Dr Bhupal said that a petitioner had produced an order issued by III Additional Chief Judge of City Civil Court, Hyderabad, directing Chatrinaka and Bhavani Nagar police to provide police aid to ‘enjoy’ a land measuring 8.23 guntas in Kandikal village, Bandlaguda mandal.
As per the directions, Chatrinaka police provided the aid and the petitioner started to construct temporary boundary on the land on Wednesday.

Aadhaar services, including new enrolment and updation, have been resumed at 27 identified post offices under Hyderabad south-east division. These are: Station Kachiguda head post office, Hyderabad jubilee head post office, Amberpet, Bahadurpura, Falaknama, GSI Bandlaguda, Keshogiri, L.B. Nagar, Malakpet Colony, P&T Colony, R.K. Puram, Rajendranagar, Sahifa, Saidabad, Saroornagar, Shalibanda, Shamsabad, Uppal, Saidabad Colony, Vanasthalipuram, Meerpet, HPS Post office, I.E Nacharam, Hayathnagar, New Nallakunta and Mankhal post office.
Aadhaar camps at different residential colonies /institutions /offices in collaboration with colony associations are also being taken up wherever minimum 40 enrollments can be done and suitable accommodation along with basic amenities are provided to the op
