A nurse who went to Sharjah in search of better livelihood has been confined against her will and assaulted, Majlis Bachao Tahreek leader Amjed Ullah Khan, who has been working to bring Indian citizens stranded in West Asian countries said.
Mr Khan said that he is helping the vitcim’s family who have written to Minister for External Affairs S Jaishankar. The victim, who is a resident of Bandlaguda, was allegedly promised a salary equivalent to ₹40,000 per month in Sharjah by a broker identified as Fatima.

HYDERABAD: The cold wave that has taken over Telangana is most likely to continue. This might last for another two to three days. India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad informed on Tuesday that we might see temperature drop by another 3 to 4 degree Celsius. This will mostly affect the isolated areas.
On Tuesday, the Meteorological Department recorded the lowest minimum temperature in certain areas. In Adilabad, it was 5.7 degrees C, 7.2 degrees C in Medak and in Hyderabad it was 10.4 degrees C. This was 6.6 degrees C less than normal temperature in Medak and 4.7 degrees C less in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department in the city informed on Tuesday (December 22) that a cold wave is prevailing over the state and will continue for another one to two days.
According to the forecast, the minimum temperatures will drop by 3-4 degrees C in isolated areas. Yesterday, IMD reported the lowest minimum temperature of 5.7 degrees C from Adilabad, followed by 7.2 degrees in Medak and 10.4 degrees C in the city.
