HOUSTON – Authorities suspect a man has shot his wife in northwest Harris County, authorities said Wednesday.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez wrote on social media that the man was detained and a woman has died at the scene. The shooting was reported around 5:15 p.m. at a home located in the 9500 block of Walnut Glen Drive.
When responding deputies arrived at the scene, they met with two teenage children who called in saying that their father had shot their mother, officials said.
Deputies said they made contact with the 45-year-old man and detained him. Deputies said he will be taken to the sheriff’s office homicide unit where he will be questioned for his involvement in the shooting. Investigators said the man came to the home, got into an argument with the 46-year-old woman, and told the children to leave the home.
