Chico man arrested after holding a man at gunpoint, marijuana and firearms also found

OROVILLE, Calif.- On Wednesday morning, April 7, a victim called the Butte County Sheriff’s Office to report being held at gunpoint by a man. The victim had a firearm pointed at him while attempting to enter their own home on the 700 block of Potters Ravine Road.
William Hostetler, 56, of Chico, used his vehicle to ram the victim’s vehicle and drove off while the victim was speaking with BCSO dispatch. When deputies arrived, they found evidence matching the victims’ claims.
