The airline announced the launch of 16 new flights connecting Jaipur with different cities including Dehradun, Amritsar, Udaipur and Delhi among others. SpiceJet will also connect Jaipur with Goa via Surat. After connecting Pakyong with Delhi, the airline will now also connect Pakyong with Kolkata under the government s regional connectivity scheme- UDAN. It will also add its second frequency between Delhi and Dehradun. All the new flights are scheduled to commence operations effective February 1 and February 10, 2021, the company said in a press note.

The remaining four flights would be on the Kolkata-Pakyong route and Delhi-Dehradun route, said the airline’s press release. All 20 new flights would be started in February, it stated. Jaipur would be connected through 16 new flights to various cities such as Dehradun and Surat, it said. Commercial Flight Operations Commence at Sikkim s Pakyong Airport After 19 Months FOLLOW US ON: Commercial passenger flight services at Sikkim s lone airport at Pakyong near Gangtok resumed on Saturday after a gap of about 19 months. A SpiceJet aircraft with 57 passengers from Delhi landed at the Pakyong airport, as Sikkim Health Minister M.K. Sharma welcomed the travellers. The flight returned with 21 passengers. Terming it a historic day, Sharma said that airline services would be a lifeline for the Sikkimese people and boost tourism and trade in the mountainous state. Additional Chief Secretary of Sikkim (tourism and civil aviation), K. Jayakumar, said that resumption of flight operations was possible after several technical interventions.
