WINDSOR â The town has received 50,000 masks in a donation from the Ford Motor Co.
Paul Goldberg, a town employee serving as emergency manager and fire administrator, said the Michigan-based company contacted the town.
âThey asked us, âHow many do you want?ââ Goldberg said.
The shipment of masks arrived Nov. 12, roughly three weeks after the companyâs offer.
Goldberg said virus protocols require all towns to have an emergency manager who is responsible for PPE-related items.
Scott Gelbman, a spokesman for Ford, said the donation is part of an initiative from the company that includes 100 million masks to at-risk communities through 2021.
