All famous tourist attractions in Kerala may soon be deemed fully vaccinated zones, according to reports. The state administration is considering giving COVID-19 vaccines to all tourism workers, as the industry has incurred enormous losses as a result of the pandemic.
According to reports, the government has placed persons working in the tourism industry on a priority list, designating them as frontline COVID fighters, and has begun giving vaccines to them. PA Mohammed Riyas, the Minister of Tourism, has confirmed this.
While stating this, the Tourism Minister also stated that the tourism sector has already suffered losses of INR 33675 crore as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic. He went on to say that, with the help of the state’s health department, they want to make popular tourist attractions in the state 100% vaccinated zones by July 15.
