SAN ANTONIO A woman in her 60s has died after police say she did a u-turn on 281 and slammed her small car into an oncoming pickup truck.
The crash happened at noon on 281 northbound over Devine Road.
Witnesses told police when the woman passed Basse Road, she suddenly turned around for an unknown reason.
It took firefighters a while to free the woman from the wreckage. The woman was taken to University Hospital, where police say she died. The driver of the truck also went to the hospital, but they say his injuries were minor.
