LAHORE: The Punjab Cabinet Committee on Law and Order has directed the law enforcement agencies to devise a foolproof security plan for the touring South African cricket team during its stay in Lahore, while ensuring it does not affect the traffic flow in the city. The committee meeting presided over by law minister Basharat Raja was attended by provincial ministers retired Col Hashim Dogar, Ansar Majeed Khan and Taimur Bhatti, besides additional chief secretary (Home), capital city police officer, deputy inspector general (operations), deputy commissioner, Rescue1122 director general and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials. Earlier, in a briefing to the cabinet committee, it was informed that control rooms of police, local government,police’s special branch and a temporary medical aid centre would be set up at the Punjab Hockey Stadium.
