It comes with another one of those off-centre, art pop singles; this one entitled Narrator, featuring guest vocalist Martha Skye Murphy, and inspired by the 2019 film A Long Day’s Journey Into Night.
The inhabitants of Coral Island will be gradually introduced to us during the coming weeks via audio and visual portraits conceived and created by artist Edwin Burdis.
It starts with Faceless Angel, the first single from The Coral’s new double album which was recorded at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool.
At a time when the final lists of showcasing artists would normally be being finalised, South By Southwest has unveiled a line-up for 2021 who’ll be performing remotely for the giant festival this time round.

The Coral have announced their 10th studio LP. Coral Island was recorded at Parr Street Studios in the band s hometown of Liverpool and will arrive as their first double album on April 30 through Run On Records in association with Modern Sky UK.
To celebrate the news, the Coral have shared the record s first single, Faceless Angel, an adventure in psych-pop that comes paired with an eerie video created by artist Edwin Burdis. Check it out below along with the LP s artwork and tracklist.

NME about their forthcoming thematic double album ‘Coral Island’.
Fuelled by their own fairground memories and fantasies, 10th album âCoral Islandâ sees the band soundtracking bustling seaside towns in the summer on the first half of the record before waltzing into the lonely lives of characters who inhabit the island during the cold winter on the second. To get a taster of what’s to come, the band have shared launch single ‘Faceless Angel’.
