Record tumbles as cool cats and tris join in for Airlie Beach Race Week

Action from the F16 Australian Championship © F16 Association With entries not due to close until Monday 2 August, Airlie Beach Race Week has already reached an unprecedented high of 139 boats, outstripping the event s record of 133 in 2016 and more than doubled those of 2020 when COVID interfered. Entries for the 33rd running of our regatta, to be held from 12-19 August, have gone beyond expectation, Whitsunday Sailing Club Event Chairman, Ross Chisholm said. Both Coral Sea Resort and Port of Airlie marinas are full, so those boats that can t be stored ashore will be on swing moorings, he indicated. Chisholm further announced, I am pleased to say Airlie Beach Race Week is going back to its roots. Off-the-beach classes - F16 and F18 sports catamarans - along with the Weta trimaran class are joining us in 2021. We ll house them here at Whitsunday Sailing Club.

Special birthday - accom for 6 people - beach or island - Port Douglas Forum

Special birthday - accom for 6 people - beach or island - Port Douglas Forum 11 Apr. 2021, 4:01 pm Hi all, The ideal way for me to spend my 60th birthday would be to have a trip away with my husband (7 days), our two adult children and their partners. A beach resort would be lovely - somewhere that has a nice bar, good pool area and where breakfast is available. Otherwise I would also be happy for us to stay in an apartment where bars/cafes are readily accessible. The kids are all late 20 s so I m not looking for somewhere too remote. We don t need too much activity, but somewhere that we could have a couple of day trips to places of interest would be good, and where they could potentially just go for a wander or jump on a courtesy bus if there is not enough to keep them amused where we are staying. Will hire a vehicle, if necessary.
