RiverView Health’s blood drive brings in 27 volunteers

RiverView Health hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on February 26 at RiverView Health which helped collect a total of 23 units of blood products for patients in need.
A total of 27 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 21 individuals were able to donate at the Vitalant blood drive on February 26. A total of two donors also came forward to donate Power Red Cells (2RBC) which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution back to the donor. There was one donor who volunteered for the first time.

First United Methodist Church hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Feb. 22 which helped collect 45 units of blood products for patients in need.
Fifty-four individuals volunteered to donate blood, and 40 were able to donate at the drive. Five people gave Power Red Cells (2RBC), which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. One person
volunteered for the first time.
Vitalant expressed its gratitude to Sharon Caine, who coordinated the drive, and First United Methodist Church which sponsored the blood drive, as well as others who assisted with the drive, Don Caine, Carol McIlravy, Erma Mogck, Cheryl Trapp, Roxanne Mitzel, Jay Nitschke and Shari Becker.

Devils Lake– Devils Lake community hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on February 11 at the Wilcox Senior Center which helped collect a total of 23 units of blood products for patients in need.
A total of 24 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 21 individuals were able to donate at the Vitalant blood drive on February 11. A total of two donors also came forward to donate Power Red Cells (2RBC) which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution back to the donor. There were two people who volunteered for the first time.
Bemidji State University recently hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Feb. 4.

BEMIDJI Bemidji State University recently hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Feb. 4, which helped collect a total of 25 units of blood products for patients in need.
A total of 29 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 24 individuals were able to donate at the Vitalant blood drive. One donor also came forward to donate Power Red Cells which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution back to the donor. There were eight people who volunteered for the first time. a release said.

Wimbledon hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Jan. 20 at the former school gym which collected 39 units of blood products for patients in need.
Thirty-seven individuals volunteered and were able to donate at the drive, with three giving Power Red Cells (2RBC), which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. One person volunteered to donate blood for the first time.
Vitalant expressed its gratitude to Chad Bakken, who coordinated the drive, and the Wimbledon Fire Department which sponsored the blood drive, as well as Steve Guscette for providing a location for the drive.
