Four men have been charged with murder after a father was shot dead south-west of Brisbane.
Police were called to a property on Old Logan Road in Gailes, Ipswich, about 4pm on Saturday. There they found Chris Anderson, 36, dead with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Chris Anderson, 36, would “give the shirt off his back” and made friends with strangers, his family said.
On Tuesday afternoon, detectives arrested four men and said they had also found a car believed to have been involved in the incident.

A man has been shot dead in Ipswich after chasing a group of men from a home he shared with his partner and their two-year-old.
Police and paramedics were called to the home on Old Logan Road in Gailes about 4pm on Saturday, but the 36-year-old man died at the scene.

Police believe four men had earlier pulled up in a silver Holden Commodore station wagon with black mag wheels and approached the victim in the front yard before they all went inside.

Ipswich detectives are appealing for public assistance as part of ongoing investigations into the murder of a man at a Gailes home yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to the address on Old Logan Road around 4pm where a 36-year-old Gailes man was located with a single fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
Detectives believe the people pictured below may be able to assist with inquiries and are also looking for a silver Holden Commodore station wagon with black mag wheels in connection to this investigation.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of these people is urged to exercise caution and call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
