Straight Up 615 Plans a Real, Honest-to-Goodness Whiskey Dinner

Tweet Share We re more than a year into the pandemic, and there’s been a whole lotta drinking at home going on. Outside of a few small tasting events at liquor stores and bars, there has been next to no in-person opportunities to taste and learn about spirits in the real, three-dimensional realm outside of the Zoomiverse. So when Cary Ann Fuller of Straight Up 615 announced with a playful YouTube video that she had invited Old Forester’s Jackie Zykan to town for a visit and a tasting on Wednesday, March 31, at Urban Grub, my interest was piqued. Fuller has been recognizing women in the whiskey business for years, but especially during this International Women’s Month, so this final event of the month should be a great one. Fuller has even set aside the majority the $200 tickets just for women, although guys are welcome too if they manage to snag one of the remaining reservations.
