Voters across West Michigan hit the polls Tuesday deciding the fate of multiple school and local government tax proposals on the May 4 election ballot.
Some notable measures on the election ballot were a $192 million bond proposal from Kentwood Public Schools for infrastructure and tech upgrades, a Grand Haven Township $6.1 million bond proposal for park improvements, largely, to develop Schmidt Heritage Park, and a Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency request to renew the county’s 1.5-mill special education tax.
