WHMI 93 5 Local News : Man Arrested For Disorderly Conduct in High School Parking Lot

April 29, 2021 By Jessica Mathews / news@whmi.com A man is facing charges of disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing police following an incident in South Lyon. Authorities say staff members at South Lyon High School on Tuesday advised the School Resource Deputy that a suspicious vehicle with a man and a dog were parked in the staff parking lot and appeared to have been in an accident. A Deputy with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Lyon Township substation located the vehicle and spoke to the driver who told the deputy he was waiting for a tow truck as his vehicle had a flat tire and body damage. As they spoke, the Deputy said he detected the odor of intoxicants, at which point the man became highly agitated and placed the dog between his legs and made repeated racial slurs directed at the Deputy and reportedly threatened to “let his dog loose”.

Medical emergency leads to crash in Sisters 4/8/2021 2:16 PM select photo by Jim Cornelius A 58-year-old man from Madras suffered a sudden medical emergency while driving into Sisters on Thursday morning, causing him to lose consciousness and crash his truck and trailer. The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office reported that the local School Resource Deputy was on patrol in the City of Sisters at about 8:50 a.m., when he was flagged down by a pedestrian and notified of a traffic crash near the intersection of East Cascade Avenue and North Larch Street. The deputy quickly arrived on scene to find a 2011 Chevrolet pickup pulling a 21-foot toy-hauler trailer, which had left the roadway, struck a light pole, went into a gravel drainage ditch, and then impacted a large tree.

Flagler Sheriff School Resource Deputy Christopher Alecrim (FCSO) The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) is proud to announce that School Resource Deputy (SRD) Christopher Alecrim, was selected by the National Sheriff’s Association (NSA) as Law Enforcement Explorer of the Year. This NSA committee appointed to judge the competition for this prestigious award selected SRD Alecrim to be the 2021 recipient. Deputy Chris Alecrim began his career with the FCSO in 2015 and transferred to the SRD Unit in 2018 and is currently stationed at the Flagler Palm Coast High School. Throughout his career with the FCSO, Deputy Alecrim has received multiple Unit Citations, Distinguished Service Certificates and Certificates of Appreciation for his service to the community.
