Helen Greenway A TEACHING assistant at Rainford High, has been named School Support Star of the Year at the Educate Awards. Helen Greenway was nominated by her colleague Kate Thomas, assistant SENCO at the school. In her nomination, Mrs Thomas wrote how Miss Greenway is one of the most supportive, approachable and proactive members of the team. Mrs Thomas explained how Miss Greenway is always available to support the other teaching assistants and is great at supporting her colleagues, as well as offering advice to newer staff members including apprentices. Miss Greenway mainly works in Rainford’s Core Curriculum provision with students of varying ages with special educational needs and disabilities.
