Hollis Alton Kemp, 85, of Belmont died peacefully April 30, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 10, 1935, to the late Warren and Hildred (Pryor) Kemp. Also, preceding Hollis in death was his sister, Narita Buxton.
A member of the Church of Christ in Hunter, he was a man whose faith led his daily life and fulfilled his purpose to love, support, teach and provide for his family. He loved his wife, Dorothy, very much and was always concerned about her wellbeing. As a role model for his children and grandchildren, he created a legacy for generations, exemplifying his work ethics. He had a heart of gold, always putting the needs of his family and friends before his own. Learning to milk at the age of 18, Hollis believed in sustainability of the land and was a well-known dairy farmer in the community for 48 years.

New date for Eden Valley Hospice 30th anniversary challenge

Eden Valley Hospice has announced a new date for its 30th anniversary challenge in Nepal and needs people to join up.
The hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbriaâs Childrenâs Hospice, said following the difficulties presented in 2020 and this year, its 12-day special event will now take place in October 2022.
Fundraisers will start at the banks of the Bhurungdi Khola River, and, over five days of trekking, ascend to Poon Hill for a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna Massif, Dhaulagiri and enjoy views of the snow-capped peaks of Annapurna and Machapuchare.
Eleanor Viney, Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw fundraising manager, said:Â âAlong with completing an amazing challenge and providing a compassionate hand to hold for local people, fundraisers will also be able to give something back to the Nepal community.

James Brent Farrow, loving husband and father, was called home to be with Jesus at the age of 81 on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
Brent was born in Wheeling on May 30, 1939, son of the late John and Bonnie Farrow.
He graduated from Triadelphia High School, worked at Mull Machine for 35 years and Elm Grove Flowers for 6 years. He married Pam Metzdorf and they raised three sons, Jim, Dave and Steve. He was proud of his West Virginia heritage. He enjoyed sports, history and family. He had a soft spot for animals. He went out of his way to help people, but to him it was just doing the right thing. His family will miss his wry sense of humor and steadfast determination.
