Four Thunder Bay schools will be closed for in-person learning this week, with COVID-19 cases having been associated with a handful of other schools.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting two coronavirus cases associated with Valley Central Public School.
Health officials believe at this time, there is no evidence that the virus has spread in the school setting and is not considered an outbreak.
We are told Lakehead Public Schools and the TBDHU are working closely to investigate and manage the situation.
