The award winners were announced last week during an evening ceremony broadcast live on Tri-Valley Community Television.
Breaking BEARriers was also named Dublin Organization of the Year, while the Mayorâs Award went to Open Heart Kitchen and the Mayorâs Legacy Award for long-term dedication to the Dublin community went to Connie Mack.
DâAmbrosio, who teaches video production, was cited for creating a Facebook group, Tri-Valley Community Help During Shelter in Place, which eventually grew to include more than 2,100 members.
âIt started early in the pandemic with a plea to check on neighbors and friends and make sure that their needs were being met during the stay-at-home order,â said Catherine Brown, a teacher at Frederiksen Elementary School teacher, who nominated DâAmbrosio for the award. âIt was a scary time and people wanted to band together.â

Holiday marathon
Tri-Valley Community Television is marking the Christmas season with a marathon of recent holiday programming on TV30.
Beginning with a loop of Sleepy Dog at the Fire with holiday music from Christmas Eve to 6 a.m. Christmas Day, the broadcast continues all day Friday with a series of previous holiday shows, including the 2020 Pleasanton Virtual Hometown Holiday Celebration & Tree Lighting.
The Christmas Day marathon also features 2019 Livermore Holiday Sights and Sounds Parade, 2018 Pleasanton Parade, 2019 Dublin Tree Lighting Event, Cantabella Choir Revisited, Foothill HS Choir Revisited and other holiday-related programming.
