India is struggling with the second wave of the coronavirus infection as hospitals in several states are reeling under a severe shortage of drugs, oxygen and beds.

These flights brought in over 5,500 oxygen concentrators, approximately 3,200 oxygen cylinders, over 9,28,000 masks, 1,36,000 remdesivir injections, which are required in view of a massive surge in COVID-19 cases in the country, the statement noted.
The Delhi international airport handled 25 flights carrying 300 tonnes of COVID-19 relief cargo in the last five days, its operator, DIAL, said on Monday. Bengaluru breached the 7,500-mark as the city reported a maximum of 7,584
covid cases in a single day while the state reported 10,250 cases. With the huge spike, active cases in the city now stand at 51,236 (Karnataka-69,225). A total of 40 people has died of covid in the state while Bengaluru’s death toll is 27. One of the reasons for the high covid score is also due to high testing as State tested 1.34 lakh tests while more than 87,727 people were tested in Bengaluru.
