Naomi Dwyer will step down from her role as chief executive of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service after three and a half years at the helm.
Professor Dwyer said it was time for her to stop and âsmell the rosesâ and spend more time with loved ones.
In a statement from the service, Prof Dwyer said it had been an âabsolute honourâ to lead the health service and its team of professionals.
âI am proud of the commitment of every member of our team, and I am humbled by the remarkable achievements that we have achieved together over the last few years,â she said in a statement.

On Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published new guidance saying fully vaccinated individuals no longer need to wear masks or socially distance in most cases. Pennsylvania
already adopted the new guidelines, but local municipalities, schools, and businesses can still enforce their own stricter rules.
“Penn State is a complex organization, which is spread across the entire commonwealth. So, while we are reviewing the new federal and state guidelines, we ask that our community continue to follow the defined University guidance to protect the health and safety of our community,” Penn State President Eric Barron said in a release.
Penn State’s Faculty Senate on Wednesday afternoon passed a resolution recommending the university mandate COVID-19 vaccines for students and employees before returning to campus for the fall 2021 semester.
After nearly two hours of deliberations, the Faculty Senate voted 113-31 in favor of the resolution, which can be
viewed in full here. The measure, which also notes exceptions for medical conditions and religious beliefs, reflects support for a mandate from the university’s faculty representation but it would be up to university administration to implement.
Provost and Executive Vice President Nick Jones said during a question-and-answer period that university administration has no intention at this time to require vaccines. Instead, he said, Penn State will focus on making the vaccine widely available to the university community and offering incentives to those who get it.

Staff at the University of Michigan missed many opportunities to stop a doctor who committed sexual misconduct for decades with long-term consequences for hundreds of patients, including generations of student athletes, a law firm hired by the school has reported.
The long-awaited report by the WilmerHale firm comes more than a year after former students publicly accused the late Robert Anderson of molesting them during routine physicals or other visits. Some university officials at the time took no action despite being aware of complaints, including legendary football Coach Bo Schembechler, the report said.
