TANZANIA Railways Corporation has said the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) will have in place modern system that will assist to avoid accidents during trains’ operations.
It also said the system will not allow the train driver to increase or reduce the set speed.
The remarks were made at the weekend by the TRC assistant SGR manager for the 422km Morogoto Makutupora section Eng Christopher Mang’wela when addressing to engineers from the government and the private sector who visited the project whose implementation has reached 61 per cent.
