The resource sets out best practice principles for employers to consider when they are investigating and managing concerns at a local level about a nurse, midwife or nursing associate.
Included in the package are practical case scenarios to illustrate the kind of situations that would warrant a referral to the NMC.
An updated webpage for completing online referrals has also been introduced and includes questions around contextual factors to help the NMC understand any issues that may have contributed to an incident and better consider whether to take action.
