According to the NHS, around 2,300 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer each year in the UK and it is the most common type of cancer to affect men between the ages of 15 and 49.
Father & Son Day, which falls naturally on Father’s Day here in the UK, was set up in 2014 by PR powerhouse Daniel Marks and content strategist Jack Dyson, who both survived testicular cancer. Their aim was to elevate consciousness around male cancer, at a time when little was being said about it in public, while raising money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Seven years later the pair have worked with the likes of Orlebar Brown, while in previous campaigns celebrities ranging from Princes William and Harry to Noel Gallagher have called for the public to support the cause.
