I was dismayed to read that Commissioner Andy Kostielney and county economic developmentâs Bill Schalliolâs march to industrialize western St. Joseph County rolls merrily along.
We the people out this way have been waiting for our opportunity to present to our county officials alternative views of what the future that we would like to be working toward could look like.
It appears we could be waiting awhile.
During his campaign for his current position, Commissioner Derek Dieter spoke of understanding how poorly the Indiana Enterprise Center affair has been run thus far â and promised he would go to work to clear the air. Perhaps he could convince Kostielney to speak with our town officials whom he has effectively silenced thus far?
EDWARDSVILLE A woman claims she was a guest at a Cottage Hills home on New Year s Eve when she was allegedly thrown to the ground and landed on a hydraulic jack.
Paula Lawver filed a complaint Dec. 29 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Bobby Highsmith and Jack Talley, alleging negligence.
Lawver claims in her suit that on Dec. 31, she was an invited guest at Highsmith s home located on Virginia Avenue in Cottage Hills. It is unclear what year the incident occurred. She alleges that while there, Talley viciously attacked her and threw her to the ground, causing her to land on a hydraulic jack. As a result of the alleged attack, Lawver claims she suffered extensive injuries to her hip, shoulder and back.
