The Jimmies used major production from Kia Tower and Emma Stoehr, as well as Macy Savela off the bench, to take down the Tigers.
Tower played a team-high 37 minutes, scoring 23 points on 9-18 shooting for the day. Stoehr had great success at the free-throw line, with 14 points on 7-10 from the line. Savela was on fire from downtown once again, scoring 16 points off of 5-7 shooting on the afternoon.
The Jimmies end the regular season with a 15-10 overall record, 12-10 in the conference. Jamestown will travel to #7 Morningside on Wednesday at 6:00 pm to open up the GPAC tournament.
The University of Jamestown men’s and women’s basketball teams both took on Mount Marty on Saturday in Harold Newman Arena, with both sides picking up a win in the GPAC.
In women’s action, Jamestown controlled Mount Marty from start to finish, claiming a 90-47 victory over the Lancers. All five starters for the Jimmies scored double figures, and Jamestown shot 44% for the game.
Freshman Audrey Rodakowski had 13 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double, and Noelle Josephson also recorded a double-double, with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Kia Tower led the way for the Jimmies in scoring with 16, and Hannah Demars and Emma Stoehr each had 11.
