Inbound travellers now have to quarantine in designated hotels for at least 14 days, with assigned coaches to take them there. The policy got positive response from the hotel sector and more than 10,000 rooms are available. However, mainland China implemented this action in June. Many professionals had urged our leaders to enact stricter rules like this from the first quarter of the year to prevent a second wave at that time. The consequences are clear now.
