Bowmer & Kirkland landed a £54m Merseyside glass-research centre in February
Bowmer & Kirkland has seen pre-tax profit slip by 27 per cent despite its revenue rising to £1.1bn.
The latest accounts for the contractor, filed for the year to 31 August 2020, showed its pre-tax profit stood at £53.2m, down from the £73.2m recorded in 2019; it, however, grew its cash position during the year.
The accounts do not state a reason for the drop in profit, but do note it had to adapt to new ways of working as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year it had warned that coronavirus would make an impact on its operations.
