Altium unveils Nexar cloud platform Altium has launched Nexar, a cloud-based partner platform that s been designed to connect Altium 365 PCB design users and their companies with the software, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Over 5,000 companies and 11,000 users have already adopted the Altium 365 cloud platform for electronics design and the introduction of Nexar will mean that partners can join this ecosystem to make software and services available to Altium 365 users.
âAltium is committed to making our vision for industry transformation a reality,â said Ted Pawela, Chief Ecosystem Officer at Altium. âDesign, supply chain, and manufacturing stakeholders today operate largely in isolation from one another. By bringing them together on a collaborative, cloud platform, we have the opportunity to dramatically accelerate the industryâs ability to introduce new products.â
ADLINK adopts Upverter to automate SMARC carrier board design ADLINK Technology, in partnership with Altium, is to offer a fully automated SMARC carrier design process to its customers, leveraging Upverter, a web-based drag-and-drop designer tool.
The Upverter tool requires only minimal engineering skills and allows customers to create their own SMARC based carrier board design in a matter of hours, and receive prototypes within weeks.
Upverter generates the electrical design files of fully custom-defined carrier board designs on demand, as well as an instant Bill of Materials (BOM) complete with pricing, a customised device tree, documentation, and mechanical models.
The tool is a core component of Altiumâs cloud technology platform and as Ted Pawela, Chief Ecosystem Officer, explained, âAltiumâs embeddable experiences can be added to partner websites using only a couple of lines of code. Upverter offers ADLINKâs customers a simple
Cadence looks to expand system analysis capabilities with NUMECA acquisition Cadence Design Systems is to acquire NUMECA International, a specialist in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), mesh generation, multi-physics simulation and optimisation.
The addition of NUMECAâs technologies broadens Cadence s system analysis portfolio with CFD solutions, servicing a fast-moving market segment where accuracy, reliability and predictability are paramount concerns for high-fidelity modeling.
NUMECAâs technology addresses the high-growth CFD market segment, which has an estimated $1.6bn TAM. The acquisition also builds on recent Cadence system innovation developments with the Clarity 3D Solver for electromagnetic (EM) simulation, the Clarity 3D Transient Solver for finite difference time domain (FDTD) system-level EM simulation and the Celsius Thermal Solver for electrical-thermal co-simulation product introductions.
Lab on the Cloud provides access to popular application solutions Renesas Electronics has unveiled its Lab on the Cloud environment in which Renesas solutions, such as evaluation boards, winning combinations and software, are hosted in a remote lab that customers can access and test online.
The Lab on the Cloud provides users with quick access to Renesas solutions before they receive a physical board or start a design.
Boards are configured in a remote lab connected to the cloud and users access the boards through an intuitive GUI. Live video of each board allows users to test, monitor, and measure results instantly.
