Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk restarts Seal Spotting & Birding Cruises Jan. 9 By Joe Amarante
A somewhat lofty perch (for a seal) on a rock in the Sound.
It may be January during a pandemic, but the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk has some modest fun and nature in mind, offering January weekend Seal Spotting and Birding Cruises on Long Island Sound again, starting Saturday, Jan. 9.
January weather in Connecticut, as you know, can range from bitterly cold to “not bad at all in the sun” on a milder day.
You also know the COVID-19 drill for safety: Facemasks must be worn on the vessel throughout the entire cruise per state regulations. Cruises will be capped at a maximum of 25 passengers to ensure social distancing. The vessel will be deep-cleaned and disinfected before and after every cruise. Hand-sanitation stations will be available onboard.
