BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - A Tuscaloosa man known as rapper G. Weedy, has been sentenced to five and a half years in federal prison after pleading guilty to drugs and firearm charges.
In September 2020, 20-year-old Montrell Le’Robert White entered a blind guilty plea to charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
On October 9, 2019 agents with TPD’s Repeat Offender Unit, U.S. Marshals Office, ATF and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve White a warrant at his home for failing to appear in court. At the home, officers recovered 112 grams of marijuana, digital scales, multiple loaded firearms, magazines and ammunition.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - âItâs hard, itâs hard.â Major Noah Omari Turnerâs mother, Briahn Smith, talked Thursday about the pain of losing her baby, her beautiful son, and having to go on for her other four precious boys.
Majorâs mother spoke after a vigil for her two-year-old son held in Birmingham Thursday afternoon. She also made another plea for someone to come forward and bring her family justice and help solve the case.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Dequaris Lydel Williams. He was 31.
Just before 9 p.m., Birmingham police and Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Shell station at 4141 Pinson Valley Parkway on a report of two people shot. Both victims were taken by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service to UAB Hospital where Williams was pronounced dead at 12:53 a.m. Friday.
