Daily nonstop flights to Chicago coming to Santa Barbara Airport just in time for summer
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - United Airlines is launching a new direct service in collaboration with the Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) and the Chicago O Hare International Airport (ORD) next month.
Starting June 3, daily nonstop flights will be offered from SBA at 7 a.m. to ORD at 1:20 p.m. local time.
The route will be served by an Embraer 175 which can hold up to 76 passengers and offers two-class service.
Both airport personnel and passengers are excited for the new service, which will shorten travel times for many as travel restrictions and COVID regulations loosen nationwide this summer.

American Airlines seems to be in “love” with alliances; one on the West Coast with Alaska Airlines (becoming Oneworld Alliance member on March 31), and another one for the East Coast with JetBlue.
American Airlines previously had a partnership with JetBlue that ended on April 1, 2014 (read more here), and the new one was announced on July 2020 (read more here), although the start date was left in the dark.
