Courtesy of CFD COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund delivery day is today, Saturday, December 11, and after many months of preparation, volunteers are ready for the challenge and are eager to pass out Christmas gifts to less-fortunate kids in Bartholomew County. Due to the pandemic, this year’s delivery day is slightly different as volunteers will wear masks and gloves, and deliveries will be made maintaining social distancing. The pick-up point for volunteers is the new Evolution Training Center building, near the Columbus Airport. The Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund is hoping for a good turnout of volunteers is looking forward to the opportunity to help hundreds of families in the area.

Signs will be posted along both Middle Road and Andrews Street in the Columbus Air Park to direct drivers to where they need to be when deliveries begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, said Cheer Fund co-chairman Ben Noblitt.
