A deadly crash involving a pickup speeding through a red light, crashing into a Myvi and killing a mother on the spot was caught on camera in Muar, Johor.
The 23-second clip circulating social media showed the horrific accident which took place on 7.46am, Sunday morning (25th April) near the Jalan Temenggong Ahmad intersection in Parit Keroma this morning.
In the clip, a pick-up truck was seen speeding through the traffic junction and did not stop at the red light. The vehicle then rammed into a Perodua MyVi that had just began moving when the light on its side turned green.

Muar OCPD Asst Comm Zaharudin Rasip said that the incident occurred at around 7.45am on Sunday (April 25) morning, where the victim, Noriah Abu Samah, died at the scene due to serious injuries to her head and body.
“Initial investigations at the scene found a Toyota Hilux driver, who is believed to be speeding, came from Parit Jawa heading towards Bandar Muar and did not stop when the light turned red.
“The victim was just about to turn from Jalan Abdul Rahman as the light had turned green, ” he said here on Sunday.

MUAR: Police have confirmed receiving a report over a road rage incident that took place Pekan Parit Jawa, here yesterday.
Muar district police chief ACP Zaharudin Rasip said investigations found that the incident at about 3.25pm, involved a 26-year-old woman, who was attacked by a 25-year-old male suspect.
“The incident was believed to have stemmed from a misunderstanding between the two parties which had led the suspect to act aggressively.
“The suspect was said to have broken the right side mirror of the victim’s car, hit the windscreen and caused damage to the bonnet using his helmet,” he said in a statement here today.

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 3,455 new Covid-19 cases amid a record number of patients (327) requiring intensive care.
There was a record number of deaths (21) as well.
Active cases: 47,847
Intubated: 145 (new record)
Number of samples taken : 19,697
In Selangor, although the number of new cases remained in the four-digits for the sixth day, the number of cases detected among those who reported symptoms and not linked to clusters or close contacts appears to be on a slight downward trend (
see chart below).
