Czarnecki graduated from Holy Cross High School in Queens before earning his BA from Loyola College in Maryland and getting accepted to a MA-Ph.D. program at Hofstra University in child and school psychology, where he later graduated with honors, according to his obituary.
Czarnecki worked for 30 years as a school psychologist and administrator for the New York City Board of Education.
“He was well respected by his colleagues and students alike and was relishing his role and experience in mentoring the next generation of those caring for children,” reads his obituary.
“His work was not work, but rather a true passion whose foundation was cemented in genuine compassion for all people.”

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has declared an outbreak at Saskatoon s Wildwood School.
Two cases of a COVID-19 variant of concern were identified at the elementary school on April 18, according to a news release from Saskatoon Public Schools (SPS) sent on Tuesday night.
SPS was notified about the outbreak declaration on Tuesday, the release said, but classes are expected to continue as normal on Wednesday.
Outbreaks are declared when two or more people test positive for COVID-19 and transmission likely occurred in a non-household setting.

St. Frances Cree Bilingual School both on McPherson Avenue and Bateman Crescent, are moving to online learning. The Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools says it is making the entire school move to online out of an abundance of caution after a positive COVID-19 case was identified at the school which is being investigated as a variant of concern. The Saskatchewan Health Authority is recommending all close contacts get tested.
Also this weekend, officials from the Saskatchewan Health Authority informed the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division of a positive COVID-19 case in individuals at St. Joseph High School, Holy Cross High School, and St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School. The case at St. Joseph is being investigated as a variant of concern (VOC), and the SHA recommends that all students and staff at that school get tested.
