Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick has launched the Substance Abuse and Addiction Loss Support Group for families who are coping with loss due to addiction.
The free and confidential support group meets virtually on the second Thursday of every month from 7-8:30 p.m.
Inspired by Saint Peter’s Opioid Task Force, the Substance Abuse and Addiction Loss Support Group is for families and close loved ones of people who have passed away from addiction.
The support group is open to everyone in New Jersey and serves as a safe space for families to discuss their grief.

Yoga for Healthy Aging
Medford resident Judy Scribner-Moore offers Yoga for Healthy Aging classes. Until further notice, all classes will meet via Zoom. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening classes meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday morning classes meet from 10 to 11:15 a.m., and Saturday morning classes meet from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please contact Judy at: 781-488-7664, jscribnermoore@gmail.com or www.yogawithjudyscribner.com. Fibromyalgia support groups
The Fibromyalgia education and support group will begin meeting at the Chelsea Medical Center North (Beth Israel Clinic), 1000 Broadway, Conference Room 2.
SYRACUSE - Based on the guidance from local public health agencies, the Alzheimerâs Association has transitioned its support groups from in-person meetings to gatherings that take place remotely. Staff- and peer-led groups will meet at their regularly scheduled times, but using telephone and online meeting services.
âThe health and safety of our constituents, volunteers and staff remain our driver as we address the COVID-19 outbreak and as we continue to pursue our mission, today and in the longer term,â said Catherine James, Alzheimerâs Association, Central New York Chapter Chief Executive Officer. âAlzheimerâs Association operations will continue, and we will re-evaluate these measures on an ongoing basis and resume in person engagements as soon as we are able, based on public health guidelines.â

The Anshe Emeth Community Development Corp (AECDC) Central Jersey Diaper Bank is collecting baby clothing sizes newborn-2T, diapers and books.
Donations can be picked up if within Middlesex County. Volunteers from the Rutgers School of Nursing will arrive between 10 a.m. and noon on the day indicated.
At this time, no shoes, equipment, toys, etc. can be collected.
Hopewell Theater’s reopening plans will focus on ensuring the comfort of patrons.
Staff members are collaborating with health officials and industry professionals to create a safe environment for a future reopening.
