Synopsis
Given the rising concerns regarding pollution, shift towards cleaner economies such as information technology (IT), IT-enabled services, knowledge-based and hi-tech industries, entrepreneurial activities, realty market, tourism, hospitality, tertiary healthcare and higher education is envisaged, stated the voluminous draft.
The master plan calls for identifying nodes and circuits in the city for continuing work, cultural activity and entertainment at night to attract tourists and locals.
Fostering night-time economy as part of a 24-hour city , revitalising the national capital s commercial core including Connaught Place, and shifting wholesale activities from the walled city, are key focus areas of the draft Master Plan of Delhi 2041. Ghaziabad: A joint team of special weapons and tactics (SWAT) and Kotwali police have arrested three men, including a doctor working in Lucknow s King George s Medical University, for allegedly hoarding Remdesivir injections here, police said.
Mohammad Altamash (42), a resident of Delhi s Nizamuddin, had earlier worked at AIIMS Delhi and regularly delivered lectures to medical students in various medical colleges.
His two accomplices Kumail of Kaila Bhatta in Ghaziabad and Jazim Ali of Bara Hindu Rao in Delhi have been nabbed along with the doctor as the trio were searching for family members who were in dire need of the life-saving injection for COVID-19 patients and charged between Rs 30,000 to 40,000 per injection.

Doctors at Delhi s Hindus Rao Hospital were allegedly attacked by relatives of a patient who died during treatment, on Friday. The doctors had to run to save their lives, sources said.
Now, the doctors at the North Delhi Municipal Corporation run-hospital are demanding institutional FIR in the matter.

Five people have been rescued, of whom three are in a critical condition, Delhi Fire Services Director Atul Garg added. Five people were rescued from the debris of a house which collapsed in the Sadar Bazar area of north Delhi on Tuesday, fire brigade officials said. A call about the incident was received around 10.30 a.m. and six fire tenders were rushed to the spot, Delhi Fire Services Director Atul Garg said. Five people have been rescued, of whom three are in a critical condition, he added. The injured have been shifted to the Bara Hindu Rao hospital. The rescue operation lasted till 2.31 p.m., the official said.
