Elin Havard IT S time to get your application in for NFU Mutual’s Centenary Award – postgraduate agriculture students have until April 30 to apply. The award provides bursaries to pay up to 75% of course fees for selected students who are undertaking a postgraduate course in agriculture (Masters or PhD) within the UK. The Centenary Award was created by the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust in 2010 to celebrate NFU Mutual’s 100th birthday. To date, 43 agricultural students have received bursaries to help further their studies. The award is open to individuals who have gained, or are expected to gain, a 2:1 or above in agriculture or a related degree, and have been accepted or provisionally accepted on a Masters or PhD course in agriculture in the UK, in autumn 2021.
RSABI s chief executive Nina Clancy (Credit: Ian Jacobs) FARMING CHARITY RSABI has received a donation of £80,000 from the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust – to allow the organisation to keep providing emotional, practical and financial support to people in the Scottish agricultural industry. RSABI is among eight charities to receive a funding boost from the pot of £750,000 pledged to the Trust, in response to the ongoing challenges faced by communities across the UK. The recent donation follows contributions totalling £80,000 for RSABI from the Trust in 2020. RSABI’s Chief Executive Nina Clancy said: “The NFU Mutual Charitable Trust has been a great supporter of RSABI for many years, and we’re very grateful for this latest funding boost.
