Pandemic struggles inspire new art exhibit in Downtown Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) A new exhibit in downtown Colorado Springs is showcasing the ups and downs many of us have gone through during the pandemic.
The exhibit is called u ok? and was created by the UCCS Galleries of Contemporary Art in partnership with the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region. The project features a wide range of mediums from artists across the front range. [It s] about checking in, it’s about empathy, said Daisy McGowan, Director of the UCCS Galleries of Contemporary Art. It s about the stress, and the emotional toll we all went through.
