Pandemic struggles inspire new art exhibit in Downtown Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A new exhibit in downtown Colorado Springs is showcasing the ups and downs many of us have gone through during the pandemic.
The exhibit is called "u ok?" and was created by the UCCS Galleries of Contemporary Art in partnership with the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region. The project features a wide range of mediums from artists across the front range.
"[It's] about checking in, it’s about empathy," said Daisy McGowan, Director of the UCCS Galleries of Contemporary Art. "It's about the stress, and the emotional toll we all went through."
