Appeal after fail to stop crash at Parramatta
Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a fail to stop crash which left a man with serious leg injuries at Harris Park last night.
About 9.20pm (Sunday 23 May 2021), a 39-year-old man had parked his car near the intersection of Marion Street and Wigram Street, when he was hit by a vehicle that did not stop.
The man fell to the ground with severe injuries to his legs.
Emergency services were contacted and the man was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment for serious leg fractures.

Police charge two after man injured during armed robbery at Parramatta
A man and a woman have been arrested after a man was struck by an axe in western Sydney yesterday.
Just before 11am (Thursday 13 May 2021), officers from Parramatta Police Area Command were called to a licensed premises on Hassall Street, Parramatta, after reports of a robbery.
Police were told a 37-year-old man was inside a bathroom when he was approached by another man who demanded a poker machine payout ticket. When the man refused, he was struck with an axe and his wallet was taken.
The man and a woman then left the scene.

Rail trespass charge at Parramatta
A man is due to appear in court charged in relation to an incident which created major public transport delays in western Sydney yesterday.
Several lines were impacted about 4pm (Monday 10 May 2021), after a man was seen in the train corridor between Westmead and Parramatta.
Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command responded and, a short time later, a man was reported to be on a railway overpass over O’Connell Street.
Specialist officers – including police negotiators – were called to the scene and, at 7.15pm, the man was taken into custody without further incident.

Police investigating after home invasion at Parramatta
Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted during a home invasion at Parramatta earlier today.
About 9am (Saturday April 8), officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command were called to a home on Bourke Street, North Parramatta, to reports of a disturbance.
Police were told two women, one of whom was armed with a hammer, entered the premises and assaulted a resident, a 47-year-old woman, before stealing laptops, mobile phones and a wallet then fleeing.
The woman suffered lacerations to her face and eyes and was attended to at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics but declined further hospital treatment.
