Forty three people are in intensive care in NSW, 18 of whom require ventilation. Only one of these patients had received one dose of vaccine, while the remaining 42 are unvaccinated.

Some 163 cases were diagnosed in the 24 hours to 8 p.m. on Friday, despite the government ratcheting up restrictions in the four weeks since Greater Sydney entered lockdown.
Tens of thousands of enraged Australians took to city streets to protest against Covid restrictions.
Scenes near Sydney s Town Hall station descended to chaos by early afternoon, with demonstrators attacking officers and police horses with pot plants, rocks and ink.
On Sunday, NSW Police released a list with the names of 21 men who were all due to appear in Parramatta Local Court for their involvement in the protests.
Known Covid denier Joseph Mekhael, who was in court just five months ago for similar offences, was among those named by police. Smokin Joe was previously charged with two counts of failing to comply with public health orders after he allegedly organised two unauthorised protests in Sydney.

The two men who had an altercation with a police horse during yesterday’s anti-lockdown protest in Sydney have been found and charged.
Yesterday, 3500 mostly maskless idiots took to the streets to protest against the current lockdown rules in the Greater Sydney area.
During the protest, a viral photo surfaced of what appeared to be a maskless protester ‘punching’ a police horse. However, a closer look at video footage of the incident suggests it was more of an altercation than a punch. In a statement shared this morning about the two men involved being charged, NSW Police said “police horses were struck and pushed.”
