Corona claims 17 more lives in Multan

MULTAN: Seventeen corona patients died in the Nishtar Hospital during the three days of Eid.
Those died include Raheela Bibi, 43, of Gujrat, M Saleem, 50, and Kaneez Fatima of Multan. Total 249 patients are under treatment in the hospital. The divisional health authorities said that the corona positivity rating was reducing in the division. The corona positivity ratio in Multan is 3.23pc, Vehari 10.71pc and Lodhran 2.78pc.
Total 45 patients tested positive in the division where 1,295 corona tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. In Multan district, 37 patients tested positive after conducted 1,144 corona tests. No patient tested positive in Khanewal district where 24 corona tests were conducted. Two patients tested positive in Lodhran district which conducted 72 corona tests. The Vehari district conducted 56 corona tests and six patients tested positive.

AMARAVATI: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday released the first tranche of YSR Rythu Bharosa- PM Kisan for the consecutive third year, by crediting Rs 3,928.88 crore into the accounts of 52.38 lakh farmers, where each eligible farmer would get Rs 7,500.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that the State government hasn’t held back any welfare scheme, despite going through Covid crisis and so was Rythu Bharosa. As promised during padayatra, the scheme was initiated to benefit the farmer fraternity across the State. He said so far, the State government had spent Rs 68,000 crore alone for farmers in the 23 months, whereas for Rythu Bharosa alone Rs 17,029 crore was spent. Amaravati, May 13 : Amid a grim scenario brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday released Rs 3,928 crore which was directly credited into the bank accounts of 52.38 lakh farmers across the state.
This was the first tranche of the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme in its third consecutive year, where each eligible farmer gets Rs 7,500.
The Chief Minister said that despite the Covid crisis, the state government hasn t held back any welfare schemes, including Rythu Bharosa. The scheme was initiated to benefit the farmer fraternity across the state.
