Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday released the first tranche of input subsidy to the farmers under the YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan scheme for the third consecutive year, by crediting ₹3,929 crore into the bank accounts of 52.38 lakh farmers (₹7,500 per head). On the occasion, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the government had so far spent ₹17,029 crore on the scheme. “In the last 23 months, the government has credited ₹89,000 crore into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of various schemes in spite of the pandemic situation, which has dealt a severe blow to the economy,” he observed.

Updated: Share Article AAA The government on Wednesday accorded permission to the Commissioner and Director of Agriculture for initiating the process for payment of ₹3,030 crore towards the first instalment of the Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan in the 2021-22 financial year. The amount will be credited into the Aadhaar- linked bank accounts of beneficiaries through RTGS on May 13. Necessary steps will be taken by the Commissioner and Director of Agriculture in this regard, said G.O. Rt No.276 issued by Special Chief Secretary (agriculture and cooperation) Poonam Malakondaiah. In another G.O., the government ordered the initiation of the payment of YSR Free Crop Insurance claims for the kharif season last year, amounting to about ₹2,590 crore, on May 25.

AP Cabinet Nod To CBSE Syllabus In Govt Schools From Class 7, Partial Curfew Curbs

May 04, 2021, 18:03 IST The Andhra Pradesh cabinet approved the daytime curfew imposed in the state starting from Wednesday afternoon to curb the rise in Coronavirus cases in the state. A Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was held on Tuesday where several decisions were taken and approved apart from the COVID crisis management, welfare schemes and the CBSE syllabus implementation in Government schools. Briefing the media here on Friday after the cabinet meeting, Information & Public Relations Minister Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani), said that both public and private transport in the state will not  be allowed to run after 12 noon starting from Wednesday.
